Since we opened our first bar in 2010 each Hop Haven, Craft Cathedral and Beery Bastions, thousands of people have experienced the joys of the best beer the world has to offer. As a member of the team you are the customer’s guide as they discover great craft beer, whether they're a certified craft beer geek or a total newbie.

 

As you educate and excite people about craft beer you will be working with the most passionate and energetic people in the industry. Be ready to walk, talk, eat, breathe and most of all, drink, craft beer, and help others to do the same.

 

As you teach the joys of beer we to others will offer amazing training and opportunities to develop your own beer knowledge and the environment to develop yourself! The Cicerone® programme will help you achieve Craft Beer greatness, and we will reward you for passing. We also offer epic professional development opportunities such as ILM level 3 and Customer Service Management Training.

 

Working within one of our bars is not just a job, it can be the start of an amazing career. Last year over 70% of our senior managers hires came from within our bars. This is where it can all begin and we will support you to get where you want!

 

Experience

 

·         Customer service experience, whether in retail or hospitality, is a definite bonus.

 

·         We're looking for personable, chatty, dog-and-human loving individuals who can get to know our customers and act as their guide through the world of craft beer.

 

·         No beer knowledge is necessary, but a willingness to learn and discover these beery realms is essential. Full training is provided, but we need you to be enthusiastic and excited to get stuck in.

Our passion for perfect products extends into everything we do and serve within our bars and this  is where you come in! By crafting the best food around you will help bring a further dimension and excitement to beer and help make people even more passionate about great craft beer.

 

Since we opened our first bar in 2010 thousands of people have experienced the joys of the best beer the world has to offer and paired that with tasty delights to tickle the taste-buds. By cooking up a storm as part of our kitchen team you are providing the backbone for food and beer pairing, being the guide to our guests as they taste the delights of what food and beer can bring.

 

Working within one of our kitchens is not just another job, it can be the start of an amazing career. Both of our Area Chefs have progressed through our Kitchens. This is where it can all begin and we will support you to get where you want! The Cicerone® programme will help you achieve Craft Beer greatness, and we will reward you for passing. Experience

 

·         We are looking for friendly, adaptable and team-orientated people.

 

·         Any experience in or knowledge of the craft beer industry will stand you in good stead, but comprehensive beer training will be provided.

 

·         All applicants will be expected to prove that they hold at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene [TA1] certificate.

 

·         A love of food and cooking is vital!


 

 

Duty Manager

 

HELPING DELIVER THE MISSION FOR AMAZING CRAFT BEER

 

We are on a mission to Make People As Passionate About Great Craft Beer As We Are. Our bars are on the frontline of this mission and our Duty Managers play a vital role is steering the Ship.

 

Since we opened our first bar in 2010 each Hop Haven, Craft Cathedral and Beery Bastions have offered thousands of people the opportunity to experience the joys of the best beer the world has to offer.

 

As a Duty Manager the team look to you lead them in shifts and provide support. You are the intermediate between the Senior Management and the rest of the Team. You are the customer’s guide as they discover great craft beer, whether they're a certified craft beer geek or a total newbie and you lead the way in customer service and product knowledge.

 

Duty Managers are our future. You are the next wave of Assistant and General Managers in our bars. We are looking for people who want to become managers. And we want to give you that chance!

 

The Cicerone® programme will help you achieve Craft Beer greatness, and we will reward you for passing. We also offer epic professional development opportunities such as ILM level 3 and Customer Service Management Training.

 

Experience

 

·         At least one year's experience in a similar management or supervisory role.

 

·         A track record of outstanding customer service in a well-branded hospitality or retail setting will go in your favour, as well as any previous experience in craft beer.

 

·         Most importantly is a good sense of humour, a keen nose for a killer craft beer and an undying love of dogs.

 

·         Training experience is also a bonus!


 

 

Kitchen Manager

This is more than a kitchen, this is where amazing craft beer and fantastic food collides. Our philosophy of Quality doesn’t stop at beer. Every aspect of our bars needs to be world class. Our food is no exception. To successfully deliver our mission to make other people as passionate as great craft beer as we are, we need to tantalise the taste buds in every sense.

 

To ensuring that every meal, every plate and every dish is delivered to our exceptionally high standards we need you to lead our passionate team of food geeks and beer aficionados. Working with the food development team you will help guarantee that we serve and pair perfect food with incredible craft beer.

 

Running the kitchen is more than the food, it is also developing our awesome team to go beyond their potential. Being their guru of the craft and making sure they exceed all their expectations. While you are doing this we offer the Cicerone® programme which will help you achieve Craft Beer greatness, and at each stage of completion we will reward you. We also offer epic professional development opportunities such as ILM level 3 and Customer Service Management Training.

 

 

 

Our Food Development Team have all come from managing one of our kitchens and this could be your next step too!

 

Experience

 

·         We are looking for adaptable and team-orientated people.

 

·         With at least 2 years of managing a kitchen, whilst supporting and engaging their team.

 

·         Any experience in or knowledge of the craft beer industry will stand you in good stead, but comprehensive beer training will be provided.

 

·         All applicants will be expected to prove that they hold at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.


 

 

Assistant Manager

 

PEOPLE GUARDIAN AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE

 

Are you a certified beer geek? Do you live and breathe craft beer, sleep and dream hops and malt? Then we want you to help us deliver our mission. We need your natural geekiness for beer to help us deliver our Mission of Making People As Passionate About Great Craft Beer As We Are.

 

Our bars are more than just booze houses. They are temples of taste, cathedrals of craft and hop havens. We are constantly trying to ensure the distance between ourselves and our customers is as small as possible, and our bars are a vital meeting point for passionate craft beer enthusiasts and novices alike.

 

As an Assistant Manager you are the people guardian within the bar. By reflecting our drive to over-invest in the things we care about the most, Out Beer and Our People, you are there to support the General Manager and develop your team and yourself. Whilst also having a large input into helping to overachieve every target we set.

 

The Cicerone® programme will help you achieve Craft Beer greatness, and we will reward you for passing. We also offer epic professional development opportunities such as ILM level 3 and Customer Service Management Training.

 

Experience

 

·         At least 2 Year’s hospitality Supervisory or management experience is essential.

 

·         Comprehensive beer training will be provided some knowledge or experience within craft beer and brewing industry would be ace.

 

·         A love for delivering amazing customer service!

 

·         Being able to make people passionate about beer and service.

 

·         Proven experience of successfully managing a driven and high performing team with a examples of team progression.


 

 

General Manager

 

CRAFT BEER GENERAL VERSUS MEDIOCRE MAINSTREAM BEER

 

A General Manager is more than a manager of a bar at BrewDog. You are a business owner, entrepreneur and industry leader. We give the power of running a bar back to you. In order to pioneer great craft beer to help achieve the BrewDog Mission, you are in charge.

 

Our bars are on the frontline of the revolution, they are the craft beer bastions in the war against industrial larger. As the leader of the site we look to you to lead the charge to craft beer greatness. More than just overseeing the unit’s day to day operation we need you to infiltrate the local scene and encouraging people to switch sides.

 

By smashing through sales and profitability targets as well as leading, inspiring and motivating your troops to ensure that every customer leaves being even more passionate about great beer than before.

 

You are also the Unicorn guardian, keeping a steady eye on your P&Ls and helping the team to reap the rewards.

 

With a myriad of bars, we are able to continuously support your progression within the business, allowing you develop new skills and strengthen existing ones. The Cicerone® programme will help you achieve Craft Beer greatness, and we will reward you for passing. We also offer epic professional development opportunities such as ILM level 3 and Customer Service Management Training.

 

All of our current Area Managers were once General Managers within our bars. This could be your next step.

 

Experience

 

·         At Least 3 years management experience within a hospitality setting.

 

·         Evidence of business growth within this time is expected.

 

·         Comprehensive beer training will be provided some knowledge or experience within craft beer and brewing industry would be ace.
